As part of the Gaslands Refuelled game, North Star released a range of 20mm figures.
One of the packs is the Highway Patrol.

The figure's puddle base has been smoothed in with Milliput. So as an intermediate milestone while building two Japanese forces for Oathmark, I built what should be a viable force for Ronin (admittedly based on the Bushi Buntai Starter Army - I do not actually possess the rules yet)..
The force comprises:I have just finished the Crooked Dice Straw Man from their Children of the Fields Folk Horror range.
Shown here with a Great War Miniatures British ammunition carrier. At Salute I bought a Brick Workshop from Warbases. I was looking for a base of operations in The Zone for some dodgy dealers in black market goods (portrayed by some Rogue Traders).
The large doors will be replaced with roller shutters (removable) and external roller shutters over the door and window (raised). The door will be a suitably reinforced one (scratch built probably). At SELWG I bought a Command Tent from Debris of War. It is on a Products For Wargamers small terrain base.
After chamfering the edges of the base, the tent was held in place while holes were drilled in from the bottom through the base into the tent. These holes were then used to pin the tent to the base, the whole lot being glued together with superglue. Woodland Scenics fine cinder ballast was applied with PVA glue on the ground surface.
The underside of the base and the top surface were undercoated with Halfords Grey primer. The top was painted with Colour Forge Trench Brown. The ground surface was then given a coat of Humbrol Dark Earth 29.Because I need another range and scale of figures like I need my head ventilated, may I present the first Wiglaf Miniatures 18mm 7th Century Anglo-Saxons. I picked them up from North Star (Warlord and Followers 1).
The figure was cleanly cast with some slight mould marks that were easily removed with the edge of a half round file. It is based on a Renedra 20mm round base. The puddle base was blended in with milliput. Now to paint the rest of them and the Copplestone Casting "Picts".
Anvil Industries are offering a Print on Demand service for some of their digital products.
One of the items is their Brotherhood Sergeant.
There are two different heads, two left hands with weapons and an optional jet pack.
There was no flash and only minor clean up (there were a couple of supports on the underside of the head.
The kit assembled easily with superglue.
I think I have a suitable ship for him here.
The Crooked Dice Straw Man with William Killian and a Great War Miniature British soldier for scale.
I might count him as a Processional, offering a morale boost in close combat.A comparison of the new Temporal Traveller 4 and William Killian, both from Crooked Dice.
He is a big chap.
This is a test dry run for an Empress Short Wheel Base Land Rover with a pintle mounted mounted GPMG for use in Twilight 2000.
There are some moulding defects on the front grill. I will cover this with some camouflage netting and possibly some jerry cans. This is going to be loaded up as a recce or security vehicle to provide protection for an anti-tank LWB Land Rover with the BAT recoilless Rifle.
Anvil Industries are re-mastering and re-releasing their figures from their sadly missed AfterLife game.
The latest set of figures are their C-48 Warden robot.
Though you can order the components separately, it is more economic to order the three figure set.
The set allows you to select a different right hand weapon (I went for three CR-9 cannons as I have compatible weapons from the AJAX suits). I also added a set of three left hand CR-9 cannons.
The torso contains four direct fire missiles.
Anvil Industries have started a Print on Demand service for some of their digital offerings.
This one is their Light Scout Tank.
I have not noticed any print lines. Previous Print On Demand models have gone together well, using superglue.
The kit comprises a one piece hull with tracks, a turret, two hatches, a hatches separator, a turret crew insert (you need to supply a head for the gunner and a head, arms and torso for the commander) and a ball mount MG42 style machine gun. The hatches separator is fitted after the turret crew insert (if the hatches are to be left open). The question is, what can you use it for?
A large part of the Anvil range acts as an alternative to 40K models. I do not know if there are any Imperial Guard vehicles this can stand in for.
The space for the driver is a bit of a sticking point. I know most of the Imperial Guard vehicles have a similar issue.
But at least this Chaos Renegade HellHound has the headroom.
