Stargrave Scavengers II

North Star has released a new set of multi-part plastic female Scavenger figures for Stargrave (though they are usable in a number of different games).

Like the Scavengers set, the bodies are dressed in long coats or cloaks.
The weapons have a number of cloth bindings, showing their irregular nature.
There are also two sets of Zombie arms and heads.

Stargrave Scavengers

Recently North Star has released a set of multi-part plastic figures for Stargrave (though they are usable in a number of different games).

Supplied in the normal box, there are four identical sprues building twenty miniatures with bases to match.
The bodies have long coats (dusters?) and the heads have a very mixed appearance. There is only one gas mask heads per sprue.

There are also four "zombie" heads and two pairs of matching arms.

Gripping Beast Dark Age Welsh

Gripping Beast released a box set of multi-part, multi-pose Dark Age Welsh in 2021.

The box contains five identical sprues, each of which builds five light infantry armed with spears with optional axes, sword or two handed spear.
Most of the heads are bare (mainly pudding basin haircuts), though there is one wearing a helmet.
They match nicely with the Oathmark Human Infantry.
The bodies have built in necks with a matching socket in the base of the head, so are not compatible with Frostgrave, Oathmark, Fireforge or Anvil heads without surgery.

At least one of them is going to end up converted for Stargrave/Five Parsecs.

"I'll be back!" Terminator: Genisys revisited

Way back in 2015 I bought the Terminator:Genisys game.

The human opposition forces were rather poor snap together figures and were rather uninspiring.

The terminators on the otherhand were rather nice, each sprue building two standing terminators and a crawling one.
They went together nicely and were quickly painted up.
I have one of the box sets still to assemble, another eight Terminators.

There were also resin (?) and metal figures.

Strangely no one seemed to have compared the scales, a number of them were larger than the plastic infantry, and larger than usual for "28mm". Here compared with a Wargames Factory male survivor.

Comparison with the old Wargames Factory survivors.
A human sprue's worth of figures.
Four terminators and two crawlers (two sprues worth).

Size comparison between William Killian and one of the characters.

Ghost Archipelago Tribals

One of the plastic figure ranges produced for Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago was the Tribals. These are unarmoured and equipped with Stone Age weapons.

They will represent lower tech groups in SF games as well as for Oathmark in warmer climes.
