Mindless Zombie for Malifaux.

As I have run out of spray primer, I am looking at a number (a very large number) of premiered but unfinished figures.

One set I have is the Malifaux Mindless Zombies.

So here is the first one. Or more accurately, the first half of one.
No idea what trauma has shattered this reanimated corpse (though my money is on the Riot Breaker.
The skin tone is Citadel Rakash Flesh with a Citadel Agrax Earthshade wash. The inside of the mouth is Citadel Screamer Pink with a Drakenhof Nightshade wash.
The trailing entrails are Screamer Pink, dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone then a wash of Drakenhof Nightshade. The blood trail is made by mixing a small quantity of Screamer Pink mixed with Army Painter Red Shade making a translucent paint with a small amount of pigment

Now on to a complete zombie...

Empress M76 Otter Amphibious Cargo Carrier

The M76 Otter Amphibious Cargo Carrier was the replacement for the WW2 M29 Weasel.
Unlike the Weasel, the Otter was fully enclosed. It served with the US Marine Corp and was used in the Vietnam War.

The Empress model is a combination of the now familiar white resin and white metal detail parts.

It comes with a ring mount and M2 heavy machine gun and M18 hand cranked grenade launcher (to the right of the ring mount in the photograph below)..

Assembly was fine, I did not attach the water propellor as I left the tracks off to make (spray) painting easier. It is important to check for air bubbles, I missed one on a wheel. There is also a rather prominent feed gate on the bow/nose of the vehicle, which is a bit obvious in the photograph below. I am going have another go at removing that, but it is rather close to the rivet detail. I also managed to break the starboard headlight off after spray painting.
The registration number is from Rubicon's Jeep kit (I used two sets of transfers, the two from one set, unmodified either side of the bow and one split into USMC and the number and placed one above the other to the left of the rear door). The number is incorrect for the vehicle (and probably too large).
I added a rolled tarp in front of the roof hatch to reinforce the ring mount.
The roof hatch had to be cut down slightly to fit in the opening.
If I build another, I will probably add some more stowage behind the hatch.

Crooked Dice - Corn Dolls

While looking for something else (Crooked Dice Minions) if found a number of Crooked Dice Corn Dolls. I thought as a test piece, I would try one on a flat base.

I clipped the slot base off the figure and filed the bottom of the feet flat.
I then pinned it to a Renedra 25mm round base.
The figure is in three pieces, the body and two separate arms (which means you can swap the arms between the different bodies).

I will probably end up just standing it in a corner of a field to psyche out the players.

The Walking Dead: Abernathy - Woodbury Gladiator

Abernathy is one of the the Governor's Gladiators who engage in combat in the arena in Woodbury to entertain the people of the town.
He fights with a crowbar, and has improvised body armour.
