I had painted up a Guild Guard to back up the Latino Posse (do not tell Perdita I said that) and based suitably.
Of course, Guild Guard are more likely to be found on the streets of Malifaux city, so I based a second one with my traditional Slaters Granite Sett insert.
It is a dramatic if slightly awkward pose.

Wardens - The Future of Law Enforcement in Malifaux
Wardens are magical constructs created to assist in keeping order in the Guild prisons of Malifaux.
This sprue photograph shows the components for the two wardens (and was taken in 2018, they have been sitting on the side awaiting painting for a while).
They are armed with projected claw on a chain to grab and drag back any miscreant...
... And a steam powered fist to do damage at range.
If I was a better painter, I would have been tempted to paint a Superman logo on the cape.
I am not sure about the suitability of a cape in a prison riot (see Watchmen and The Incredibles).
The second Warden is more suitably dressed.
The two of them in action.
Assisted by a Riot Breaker, another Guild construct.

Guild Riotbreaker - Malifaux
The Guild Riotbreaker Construct is usually deployed (as its name suggests) to deal with riots. Its large shield and riot breaker gun allow it to deal with large groups of enemies of the Guild.
Though a Union poster child for Guild brutality, it is being deployed with other units to try and rescue its reputation.

Sarissa Shack - comparative photographs.
I bought a number of Sarissa buildings a very long while ago, a number of them have been assembled but not painted (or painted but not finished).
One of them was the Shack fro their Old West range.
Now I have to admit I thought it was from their "Heroic" rather than 28mm range of the time and had assumed that it would be suitable for the Malifaux scaled figures.
It would appear that this is not the case.
This model is assembled (it might even have been glued but I am not quite convinced).
That is not snow, that is dust (it has been sitting on a shelf for a while).
First up is the standard scaling miniature, William Killian.
As you can see he is a nice fit though the door even on his base (okay the base might stick but he is not going to bump his head).
So, next up are some unfinished Malifaux figures. This is Santiago, the tallest and largest figure in the Ortega starter set. He is seriously going to need to duck to get through the door.
Next is a Guild Guard and Perdita. They might just get through the door without ducking.
Slightly better angle, even if the cameraman is diving for cover.
The two of them shooting through the windows.

Malifaux Guild Riflemen
Three Guild Riflemen. They are not attached to their bases as I am going to undercoat them before fixing them to the base (so they can have undercoat applied to the inside of the long coats).
The Guild Sergeant had a number of problems with the fit of the coat. It required filling with Milliput.

Halt! Who goes there?
I am slowly building up a few Malifaux figures (okay I have built a number, painting them is another matter).
Here is the first Guild Guard in playable form.
The figure was first undercoated with Citadel Chaos Black spray, followed by Citadel Mornfang Brown spray.
The duster coat is Vallejo German Camouflage Black Brown.
The trousers are Citadel Incubi Darkness with Vallejo Blue Grey highlight and trim.
Leather work is Vallejo Hull Red.
Shirt is Vallejo Blue Grey shaded with Vallejo Field Blue.
The hat is Mournfang Brown (from the undercoat).
The hair is Citadel Rhinox Hide, washed with original Citadel Flesh Wash after dry brushing.
The base was first washed with Citadel Gryphon Sepia wash the Agrax Earthshade. It was the dry brushed with Citadel Golgfag Brown Dry brush paint. A final dry brush with Citadel Terminatus Stone was followed by another wash with Gryphon Sepia.
There is still some tidying up to do, stuff that to me is only visible when the figure is magnified in the photographs (and then is blindingly obvious on the model).
