The Walking Dead - Lilly Booster: Lilly

In the comic and the novels, Lilly Caul starts out as a member of the Woodbury faction.

During the attack on the prison she does a Heel-Face turn and ends up as the leader of the Woodbury survivors.

Survivor Stories Cast Paul

Paul does not talk about his life before the Dead began to walk.

There is currently no official build your own TWD figures, so I had a look through my lead collection.

Paul comprises a Crooked Dice Minion Dog Handler body with the dog lead removed. The head is from the original Minion Head sprue. I drilled through the left hand so I could fit a weapon.

Crooked Dice also do a Melee Weapons sprue. I chose the Machete for Paul.
I also added a rucksack from the Rubicon Allied Stowage set, the straps are made from Greenstuff.

Paul faces off against the Walking Dead armed with his Machete and his trusty torch.
Caught in the spotlight.

Survivor Stories Cast - Sophie

Sophie was a difficult student. On the day the world ended she was in detention. She spent that night locked in a school office (assisted by the bottle of whiskey she found in the filing cabinet she had prised open). The following day she broke out of the office and escaped via the gym (picking up a baseball bat and a leather jacket on the way).

Sophie will be one of the characters in the Survivor Stories campaign for Mantic Games' The Walking Dead: All Out War.

The figure is Dorothy from Crooked Dice's Savage School Girls 1 pack.

To differentiate her from a previously painted example, I went for a more colourful paint job.

The figure was undercoated with Citadel Chaos Black spray.

The skirt was Vallejo Luftwaffe Camouflage Green, highlighted with Citadel Warpstone Glow.  Once it had been dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone, it was washed with Citadel Athonian Camoshade.

The jacket was base coated with Army Painter Chaotic Red, then Citadel Mephiston Red.

The cuffs, jacket lining and Sophie's hair was painted with Army painter Skeleton Bone, the hair drybrushed with Citadel terminates Stone and then washed with Citadel Seriphim Sepia.

The rucksack was Citadel Caledor Sky, drybrushed and then washed with Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade.

The shirt was Army Painter Stone Golem.

The Walking Dead - Andrea Booster: Andrea

So the last figure from the Andrea Booster is Andrea herself.

A slightly different character to the one from the television series with a different character arc.

The base has the "Andrea Booster" cardboard box.   I might need to wash a couple of places that I missed.

Andrea and Amy

The full booster set.
Wow a second Walking Dead box fully painted.

The Walking Dead - Andrea Booster: Amy

Andrea's sister Amy does not have many pages of the first volume of the Walking Dead. Maybe she will last longer in All Out War?

Like the previous walker, her base is decorated with an open cardboard box and a couple of bricks. The box is made from Evergreen square section plastic tube with a lid made of Evergreen plastic strip.
The sweat shirt is Humbrol Violet Grey, the shorts and socks Citadel Daemonette hide. The hair is Army Painter bleached bone.

The man they called 'Brian'

So, two weeks ago I bought the Walking Dead: All Out War Solo Starter Set.

The set provides a one survivor (Brian Blake) and five walkers plus rules, counters, cards etc to allow the solo player to learn the game and play a number of scenarios. The contents are usable with the core rule set (for reference, Brian has the same points value as Derek in the core set, this is an early version of the character).

For those who have only encountered the television series, Brian Blake is an unknown character, however for those who follow the comics (or the novel The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governor) he is moderately important.

The figure is a one piece moulding complete with a base similar to a 25mm slotted base.

There is some minor work required to remove mould lines, but no more than other plastic figure.

I undercoated the figure with Citadel Chaos Black spray. The trousers are Citadel Castellan Green with Citadel Death World Forest camoflage patches. Boots are Vallejo German Black Brown. Roll neck jumper is Vallejo Khaki and the body warmer is Citadel Steel Legion Drab. Hair is Citadel Rhinox Hide. Dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone. Trousers washed with Citadel Athonian Camoshade, top with Citadel Agrax Earhshade. Skin is Vallejo Panzer Aces Flesh Base highlighted with Vallejo Panzer Aces Flesh Highlight. Citadel Reikland Flesh wash was applied to the skin.

Base was Woodland Scenics cinder fine ballast glued down with PVA. Painted Vallejo Burnt Umber and dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone. Woodland Scenics fine turf Burnt Grass foam was then glued on top.

Comparison shot.
