There are three identical sprues.

Quar: Crusader Officer

 At Salute I bought the six blister packs of resin Quar figures. This included the Crusader Officers.

He is armed with a Grifkis double barrelled shotgun and a hand axe.

The figure was undercoated with Citadel Chaos Black, followed by Citadel SnotWomble Green.
The skin was painted with Citadel Averland Sunset.

The Grifkis shotgun and the helmet are Vallejo Black Grey, as is the belt buckle, first coat on the buttons, the canister and the webbing fittings.

The trousers are Citadel Steel Legion Drab as are the pouches.

The boots are Citadel Dryad Bark.

The wood stock on the shotgun and the handle of the axe are Citadel Catachan Flesh.

The shotgun cartridge bodies are Citadel Mechrite Red and the bases, buttons and the Crusader "Flying Squirrel" logo are Army Painter Stone Golem.

The belt and helmet strap is Citadel Mornfang Brown.

More Quar

At Warfare I bought four new packs of Quar.

Coftyran Sharpshooters

 Three Quar sharpshooters. Though there are three heads on the sprue, the firing Quar has a fixed head.

Though this pack says Coftyran Command, it is actually one Standard Bearer and one PykPyk handler, and four PykPyks.

No spare head this time, but not sure if there is a spare pack (as the PykPyk handler has a cage of PykPyks on his back.

PykPyks are used to send messages (hence the message capsules on their backs). In the extended Rhyflers Handbook there are rules to use them.

Crusader Trench Raiders with Derringer Shotguns and melee weapons.

I also bought the Crusader Command set, again a Standard Bearer and a PykPyk handler.

Quar Crusader Rhyfler

 This is the first completed Quar Crusader Rhyfler

The figure was undercoated with Citadel SnotWomble Green.

The skin was painted with Citadel Ultramarine Blue (Quar come in a whole range of colours).

The Bogen rifle and the helmet are Vallejo Black Grey, as is the belt buckle and the webbing fittings.

 In addition to the hard plastic multi-pose kits, there were also three blister packs of thermoplastic Crusader figures.

There are mould lines and some flash. The material reminds me of Mantic PVC.

It does not take to being filed - flash and mould lines need to be removed with the blade of a scalpel. Scraping just roughs the surface.

This Quar's War revisited.

This Quar's War - Starter Set

 Quar (who resemble anthropomorphic anteaters) are locked in a war that has been fought for years.

This starter set includes 24 hard plastic multi-part multi-pose figures.

48 page rule book, including equipment and weapons for Coftyran and Crusader forces.

Ten activation cards and six D6.
