Warlord Tiger II - part one

I bought the Warlord King Tiger (Tiger II or Koenig Tiger) kit at The Gameskeeper last year.

The kit comes in a standard Warlord box with three sprues.

There are two complete turrets in the kit, but the finished model can only use one or the other.

Grizzling... The M4A1 Grizzly - Southsea

Back in 2016 I visited the D-Day museum in Southsea.

Outside the museum there is an M4A1 Grizzly and a Churchill Crocodile.

You can see the cast in thickened armour (under the star and the maple leaf) on the right hand side.

Rubicon M4 Hybrid - part one

At Salute 2018 I bought four of Rubicon's boxed kits. Last month I started work on the M4 Sherman I. This month I started on the Sherman I Hybrid.

The box is the standard from Rubicon.
The chassis is the same as the M4.
The Hybrid hull comes on a separate sprue, the other three sprues in this photograph are the same as in the M4 kit.
The two turret 75mm sprue.
Instructions and sand shields.

"You're as cold as ice..."

Rasputina came to Malifaux as forced labour.  She escaped from the camp and encountered the Tyrant known as December.

She can create objects and creatures out of the air, from the diminutive Ice Gamin to the hulking Ice Golem.

Rasputina looks on.

Kassa Okoye - Abyssinian/King's Empire Commander for The Other Side - part three

So here is Kassa Okoye "finished".
The figure was undercoated with Citadel Chaos Black spray.
The skin was Vallejo German Camouflage Black Brown, light dry brush with Citadel Terminatus Stone, Citadel Seraphim Sepia and Army Painter Strong Tone washes. Lower lip highlight with Citadel Bugman's Glow.
The dungarees are Vallejo English Uniform, light dry brush with Citadel Terminatus Stone and a Citadel Agrax Earthshade wash.
The tee shirt and bandana are Citadel Mephiston Red, light dry brush with Citadel Terminatus Stone and a wash with Army Painter Red Tone.
The belts are  Citadel Mournfang Brown.
The machine gun is Vallejo Black Grey, dry brushed Citadel Mechanicus Standard Grey and Citadel Terminatus Stone. It was washed with Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade (none of your Citadel Nuln Oil, this is precision engineering).
The backpack was Citadel Snot Womble Green, light dry brush with guess what and a Citadel Athonian Camoshade wash.
The power cells, giant light bulbs whatever were painted first with Army Painter Stone Golem, followed by Humbrol Matt White. They were then painted with Citadel Hexwraith Green. If I was to paint them again, I would put a coat of Humbrol Matt Varnish on before the Hexwraith, the white was a bit shiny.
The base was painted with Vallejo Black Grey, dry brushed with Citadel Mechanicus Standard Grey and Citadel Terminatus Stone. It was then washed with Citadel Nuln Oil.

Now sh just needs an army to lead.
