M48A3 continued

So here is the story so far.

The M48A3 has gained a mascot, a TTCombat teddy bear. It has also had some additional armour in the form of track attached to the turret.

It has also gained a bandoleer of water bottles hung on one of the aerial posts (and the three aerials). Note also the deflector for the cupola machine gun to prevent it hitting the searchlight (the teddy bear has no such protection).

Note where I have badly replaced the left rear mudguard, this will be tidied with some Milliput.

Now to add some additional stowage on the engine deck and tidy up the jerry cans.

Final crewman figure

So, one of the crew for my Five Parsecs from Home has a religious background, and ended up receiving a shotgun from the weapons rolls.

Originally I was going to use one of the Frostgrave Wizards bodies, but decided that one of the female Wizards II bodies would make a good base. The arms are from the Stargrave Crew II set.

I wanted something different for the head, and noticed that the Great Escape Games Gunfighters II figures had compatible heads.

She is checking the skies for opposing force drones or snipers  on a vantage point.

Pistol armed Cannon Fodder

Another figure for Stargrave/Five Parsecs from Home.

This figure uses the arms from the Wargames Atlantic upgrade sprue and a Stargrave Crew head on a Cannon Fodder body.

This is a very dynamic pose.

Empress FT tank scale comparison

I built one of the Empress FT tanks back in 2017 (and a Carden Loyd Carrier). The tank is not currently on the Empress site. I think it is 1/55 scale.

Though there is a scale photograph with the unfinished mode, there is not one of the finished model.

It is a really diminutive tank (and the garden Loyd is even smaller).

Mark Copplestone (I am surprised I have so few models tagged as sculpted by him) has been working on a range of Neo-Retro Wargaming and Pseudo-Nostalgia figures scaled at about 30mm.

They are fictional InterWar period figures with a distinct "toy soldier" look to them.

Here is a scale photograph of a 30mm lipped base propped up against the FT tank.

Oathmark Dwarf Heavy Infantry

The third Dwarf box set for Oathmark builds Dwarf Heavy Infantry in the form of Dwarf Warriors and Dwaf Linebreakers.

The box contains six identical sprues, each of which can build five figures.
The sprue can build five Warriors in heavy armour with hand weapons and shields, or five Linebreakers armed with two handed weapons.
Four of the five Dwarfs plus an orc interloper.
I should have paid a bit more attention, these were supposed to be all Dwarfs.
Oathmark Goblin and Dwarf.
The obligatory William Killian comparison.
This is the missing Dwarf.

Oathmark Dwarf Light Infantry

After buying the Dwarf Infantry sprue at Salute in 2017 (and reinforcing the five dwarfs with a box in 2020), here is another North Star plastic box set that builds thirty lightly equipped Dwarf Infantry.

The box contains six identical sprues, each of which builds five figures.
Each sprue can build five dwarfs with bows and hand weapons (for Border Guards) or five with two handed mining tools (for Militia).
For the Border Guards, it is important to attach the head before the right arm as the right arm can interfere with the beard.

North Star Orc Infantry Linebreaker revisited

It was mentioned that the Linebreaker model would look better with the left hand removed and rotated.

I applied a razor saw to cut the wrist and then removed the hand from the axe handle.

After rummaging around on the floor for awhile, I found the hand and glued it on the other way round.

Oathmark Elf Infantry

Nearly two years ago I posted about the Oathmark Elf Light Infantry from North Star.

Finally I have got round to photographing the Elf Infantry.

This kit is supplied in the usual box and includes six identical sprues, each of which builds five figures.
The figures can be armed with sword (hand weapon) and shield, spear and shield or elf bow.
The five shields are similar but different designs.

North Star Orc Infantry Linebreaker

Currently North Star only have Orc Infantry in their Oathmark Plastic range.

However, the Orc bodies are compatible with other figures in the Oathmark and Frostgrave ranges.

This figure uses one of the Orc bodies, the Orc command head with the horns cut/filed off and a two handed axe right arm and a left arm for a crossbow from the Frostgrave Barbarians.

The other Axe arm got lost while being cleaned up, so a replacement was sourced from the same sprue.
