Warbases have recently introduced their new Space Corridor range. This is a range of simple modular MDF corridor sections that can be assembled in many different arrangements to make up spaceships and planetary bases.
At Colours I bought one of their dead end corridor sections to see how they go together.
The kit is supplied in a plastic bag, but with no instructions. Here are the bits.
I started by building up three sub-assemblies (the three walls). As you can see, the two side wall panels are identical, the how they are attached to the supports determine which is left and which is right
The right hand wall was glued in place first. The end wall then slots into place followed by the left wall.
As you can see, the corridor is roomy enough for figures on 25mm bases, and their is sufficient space to put two figures on 32mm bases side by side. You probably could not get a dreadnought in their, but a Warlord Games M5 Jackal walker fitted both width and height wise (though it might have issues with doors).
William Killian inspects the corridor end.
View from above. As you can see, there is room for the figures and accessing them from above.
Not quite sure what the holes on the outside of the columns are for, but they do give it a nice stage set look.
Once the glue had dried, I gave the corridor section a good coat with Halfords grey spray primer. I then misted some Halfords black spray primer in corners, on the bottom of the walls on the outside and on to the floor. This was followed with some Citadel Corax white spray. The outside was given a further coat of Halfords grey primer.
A Soul Drinker Space Marine defends the corridor.
Certainly an interesting idea, I will be picking up a few more later in the year.
They could do with adding some rooms and a starter set.

Crooked Dice Tortuga Truck - part four
Making haste slowly, the cab unit and load bed have now been added to the chassis.
Rear view.

An Empress Chechnya infantry man.
Firing from the load bed.
Of course the load area and cab roof has not been glued into place.
I have also added the fuel tanks.

Crooked Dice Tortuga Truck - part two
Having assembled the transmission, axles and parts of the cab, here are slightly more representative photographs. The cab roof is just sitting on the main part of the cab (which has just been glued together and needs a little filling).
Games Workshop Cadian infantry for scale.
And William Killian for scale.
The cab doors are still to be added.

This is the new Tortuga truck from Crooked Dice.
I have not assembled it yet, but this is a scale shot with a Games Workshop Cadian trooper.

Shadow War - Armageddon: The Fallen - Chaos Marines
A long time ago in a blog post far, far away...
Okay, not Star Wars.
A Chaos Space Marine leader, part of the Fallen for Shadow War: Armageddon.
Armed with a sword and a bolt pistol, backed up with grenades, he is ready to lead the fight against their enemies.
The Fallen's leader squares off against a loyalist Cadian trooper.

Shadow War - Archeology part one
One of the joys of Shadow War - Armageddon is the ability to use all those odd boxes of figures that you bought but never got round to doing anything with.
So I had a look through the boxes in various locations (and reunited the Tau Pathfinder instructions with the kit) and found these.
Though not actually a Kill Team choice in SWA, the renamed Stormtroopers have various uses for Imperial Guard or Inquisitor kill teams.
I knew I had a box of Pathfinders somewhere, and a couple of weeks ago I did find the instructions, and now they are reunited with the kit.
I bought a number of boxes of the 2005 Chaos Marines cheap at Salute one year (what year I do not know). It is the original multi-part figures (two lots of four Chaos Wombles with a Chaos mutation sprue and a Chaos Marine sprue with a Heavy Bolter and Officer bits). They were originally bought to supply bits for Forge World Chaos Marine conversion packs.
Dark Space Pixies (or in this case Maniac Nightmare Pixie Girls - and boys).
And finally a box of Skitarii (I have an Enginseer as well).
Started with the Chaos Wombles. The plan is a stripped down squad of five, very basic weapons.

Shadow War - Armageddon Cadian Kill Team go visiting
Well, last week I had a chat with the Daniel, the local minion of the Great Womble and he mentioned that he had never seen one of my figures.
So having "finished"the Cadian Kill team, I took them in to show him.
I bought a couple of "Figures In Comfort" mini boxes for the West Wind Empire of the Dead game way back when. They are small and convenient for carrying a small number (12) of figures. I added some of my Womble figures to fill the available slots.
Of course they cannot stay there, the box is normally the home of the Ortega Posse, and frankly I do not want to get on the wrong side of Perdita and her family.

Shadow War - Armageddon: Cadian Kill Team part 6
Here is the complete Kill Team.
The bases need finishing, and I might add some decals from the supplied decal sets.
