Some Assembly Required - Anastasia

Anastasia is a former member of The Iron Ceiling who is now a member of A.G.E.N.T.S.
Though a product/victim of the Iron Ceiling Super Soldier project, she is not super powerful, though she is a skilled fighter. To make up for her limited power, she is equipped with a matched pair of enhanced Tonfa.
They allow her to parry blows and to deliver an electrical jolt.
Of course not all foes will oblige with closing to hand to hand range (and some you want to avoid), so she is also armed with a matched pair of High Power pistols.

The figure is the excellent Hasslefree Danica figure.

A Handful of Ninja

Crooked Dice brought out three ninja figures a while back. I have finally got round to painting some up.

Surrounding a woman in a hoodie, they are in for a surprise.

Some Assembly Required - the Private Eye

Ainsty Utility Unit

I have a very work in progress Ainsty Utility Unit.

I need to source or build suitable lights and a camera.
I have used one of the small comms dishes from Ground Zero Games as an add on to the model.

Some Assembly Required - A.G.E.N.T.S.

Sometimes "Talented" assets need additional boots on the ground and covering fire.

Chloe is supported by two troopers to provide additional firepower while raiding a disused warehouse.

Some Assembly Required - A.G.E.N.T.S. and Lawyers

Originally I used a Copplestone Castings' Corporate Babes figure for the Fearless Lawyer's assistant. However Heresy Miniatures' Emily Lake figure looked a better bet.

And here they are ready to fight the Good Fight.
Here is Chloe, as seen in series two and three of A.G.E.N.T.S.

King of Clubs

The "Big Bad" in the series "Fearless Lawyer" is referred to as The King Of Clubs.

He has plans for the city, and no one is going to stand in his way.

The Criminal Mastermind from Crooked Dice, though modified by having his hair filed off.

The Persuader

The Persuader is a super villain and has faced off against The Fearless Lawyer on occasion.

He is not a particularly strong or resilient individual, but people tend to do what he asks, no matter what they ask.

And a moody shot.
Heresy Miniatures' Doctor Hugh stands in for The Persuader.

You know it makes sense… *

A Super Villain, maybe commanding some Mk2 Argonauts.

Crossover Miniatures Doctor E. Vil, rebased on a 30mm lipped base.

Undercoat of Citadel Chaos Black spray, tidied with Vallejo black. Sort of dry brushed Citadel Boltgun Metal. Cape is Army Painter Greenskin shaded with a mix of the above and Citadel Incubi Darkness.

Some Assembly Required… Part four

Chloe was an investigator into "Government Cover Ups" until she found the truth, or the organisation A.G.E.N.T.S. found her.

Now with her trusty laptop she provides insight, data and her other talents to her fellow members of the A.G.E.N.T.S. organisation.

This is Chloe as she was at the beginning of season one of A.G.E.N.T.S.

The figure is one of Crooked Dice's Plucky Assistant with a laptop made from a piece of Evergreen plastic strip.

The Anime style eyes are a bit weird, I might try painting in more Vallejo Flesh Base below the eye and Citadel Scorched Brown above the eye to make it less BESM.

Blouse and jeans are Vallejo Field Blue. The jeans are then washed with Citadel Asurmen Blue. The boots are Incubi Darkness. They could probably do with some highlights, especially laces.

Fearless lawyer

Two newly qualified lawyers (Charlie and Ryan) and their assistant (Deborah) fight for justice both in the court room and in one of their cases, as a masked vigilante.

Charlie.

Charlie and Ayelet, Queen Of Clubs and the Big Bad's partner and lover.
Charlie is a Crossover Miniatures Defender, Deborah is a Copplestone Corporate Babe, and Ayelet is Rae from Hasslefree.

Some Assembly Required (Part 3)

Charles Connor was a brilliant scientist who unfortunately found COSHH rather limiting.

Crossover - Crooked Dice Crossover

There was a question on the Nexus Miniatures forum about the sizes of Crossover Miniatures Super Heroes figures and mine (and many others) default size for "28mm" figures which are the  Crooked Dice range.

So here is a comparison picture (and two sneak previews of Assembly Required figures).
From the left, a work in progress Crossover Paramilitary Goon with Strike Team head.
Next a work in progress Crooked Dice X-Commando, followed by the Crossover Super Soldier. The fourth figure is a slightly converted classic Pandora King and the last figure is the Crossover Hoplite.

The main problem with the Crossover miniatures is their integral base. This needs to be removed with careful use of a razor saw.

I am going to do version of the Super Soldier for Weird War II, which means I will not need to remove the base (30mm lipped base should hide the metal base).

Some Assembly required (part one)

At Warfare I bought three Crossover Miniatures figures from (I think) Pendraken. The first figure completed (nearly) is their Super Soldier.

The Patriot was an attempt by a British television company to produce a Costumed Hero series for the American market. Utilising a mixture of Canadian and American actors (and some dodgy accented British actors).

The patriot was the story of an American covert military unit, lead by the titular "Patriot" in his not very covert costume, in their operations against all manner of enemies.

By reusing story lines, locations and in some cases parallel filming, the series was produced cheaply even though there was a lot of European location work. Unfortunately it was not very successful, being shown only once in the US.

Vigilantism Is Illegal

Sometimes someone says, enough is enough and takes the law into their own hands.

Does that make them any better than the criminals they fight?
Hasslefree's Aaron roams the streets of his hometown, attempting to bring justice to criminals.
