Mantic Plague Aberration

 A Big Plague monster from Mantic. I think it is an Aberration, but this particular figure is discontinued.

It is a multipiece vinyl figure, which are a bit of a nightmare to clean up. 

I needed to fill in some of the joins and where there are some mould lines, this is why it has taken a bit of a while to complete.

The figure was undercoated with Army Painter Chaotic Red. Ant gaps were filled in with Chaotic Red. The figure was then dry brushed with Citadel Tyrant Bone.

It was then washed with Citadel Khorne wash.

More Plague Zombies

 Another two plague zombies join the horde.

Plague Zombies

 While backfilling the missing figures for the now late and lamented TWD:AOW, I also ordered a box of Mantic's Plague Zombies.

These will probably used for Five Parsecs from Home and Stargrave games.

The box is the medium sized Mantic box with a printed wrapper.

There are four identical sprues, each of which makes five figures for a total of twenty figures.

Interesting bases are supplied the box - 25mm round but with a indentation that would assist if you are using metal figures with integral bases, or inverted, and use them for housing a magnet.

Here is a comparison of two assembled Plague Zombies and a North Star Quarantine 37 zombie.

Stargrave: Quarentine 37 Zombie

 The expansion book for Stargrave: Quarantine 37 was released in September. Along with the book, there is a set of figures, including zombies.

This is the first one I have painted.

As the campaigns in Quarantine 37 take place on a research station, I used some Slater's 7mm tread plate as the surface for the base.
