Dead Man's Hand: US Cavalry

Great Escape Games has recently expanded their range of multi-part multi-pose figures for Dead Man's Hand to include US Cavalry (and their dogs).

Quar Fidwog Command

The Fidwog Command set adds the Cadier, the Quar's default pack animal to the range of figures available in plastic.

The diminutive Fidwog use them as mobile machine gun carriers, one quar guides the cadier, the other operates the M8-c MMG.

Crusader Musician

Musicians in all armies provide motivation and communication.

This crusader (built from the Crusader Command set) has a stringed instrument.

Fireforge Warrior Monk

As posted earlier, Fireforge have recently released a box set of Warrior Monks.

Here is the first one I have built, armed with an Naginata.

North Star Cultist III for Frostgrave

The Frostgrave Cultists III set from North Star contains multi part multi pose plastic figures, lightly armoured (if they have armour). They are suitable for general cult rabble as well as miscreants for SF games.

This one will be part of a Militia unit for my Necromancer's army.

Scrapjacks: Rogue robot

Some of the ships you are contracted to salvage are not quite as dead as they seem. Various hostiles lurk in the dark.

The rigger has encountered a large robot, which seems intent on integrating him into the control system.

This is a Deathship One Drekyl from North Star.
Simple paint job: Citadel Corax White spray undercoat, Citadel Mephiston Red eye, Citadel Warpstone Glow for the front panel and Citadel Nuln Oil wash.
And Vallejo London Grey on the poky thing.

New York, London, Paris, Pripyat...

This has taken a bit of time to get to this stage.

A Debris of War ventilator is placed above the vehicle bay.

Debris of War sofa and a chair provide some comfortable seating for sentries, a crate is convenient as a table.

A Crooked Dice electrical cabinet and air-conditioner adorn the walls.
The walls and roof were sprayed with Plastikote Rust Effect paint. The interior was sprayed with TTCombat Skeleton Bone. The walls were sprayed with Army Painter Fur Brown. The roof was sprayed with Citadel Chaos Black.
Brick detailing was Vallejo Black Grey, Army Painter Fur Brown, Army Painter Chaotic Red, Army Painter Stone Golem and Army Painter Skeleton Bone from a wet palette.
The walls were drybrushed with Citadel Golfag Brown.

Scrapjacks crew

Here are the crew preparing to enter their first  MHU, YardDog in the lead.

Scrapjacks: Torch

There are plenty of things that need opening up, and the Torch and his wrecking bar (or det-cord) will get them open.

Anvil Industries Bio-hazard body, Astronaut head and Stargrave arms. The wrecking bar is brass rod with Evergreen tube for insulation.

Scrapjacks crew: Patch

Patch is there to put things back together, mechanical or medical.

Anvil Industries Female Astronaut with the helmet from the G11 armed Male Astronaut set.
Arms, holster and pouches from the Stargrave Crew set.

Scrapjacks crew: YardDog

The YardDog is the heavy of the crew, armed with a Riot Gun (and stun baton).

Anvil Industries Female Astronaut with the helmet from the G11 armed Male Astronaut set.

The arms and spare shells are from the Stargrave Mercenaries II set.

Scrapjacks crew: Rigger

So, having actually read the character load outs for the Quick Start ScrapJacks rules, I started to build some.

First up, the Rigger. Armed with a pistol and a knife, the rigger is there to scan and hack stuff

The body and helmet iare from the Anvil Male Astronaut with the H&K G11 set). The arms are from the Stargrave Crew set. The portable computer (for hacking) is also a Stargrave item.
