The Perry Miniatures plastic Eighth Army figures are excellent, but are slightly smaller than is now normal for '28mm' figures.
Crooked Dice's William Killan for comparison.
And a Bolt Action BEF figure.
And an SMG armed minion (note he has no base, unlike the other two).
I really need to finish some of these...

A smoke discharger was made from half of the Chaos Rhino smoke discharger, and wired into the turret.
The Imperial icons needed to be removed from the hull hatches. Replacement rivets were added from plastic rod.

Why I never get anything done (part one).
A week ago I received the recently released Detectives and Lowlifes, plus the Mannequin and Dr Mao.
So I began by preparing a set of bases (normal 25mm bases with a circle of Slater's 7mm paving plasikard).
While I was waiting for the liquid poly to set, I thought I would read up on The Beat in the 7TV Heroes programme guide…
So I suppose I should have some more uniforms...
The Criminals cast looked interesting...
And then I had to find the Offensive Miniatures Rioters I bought in 2011.
So now I have another large mass of unpainted figures to paint. Again.

Daimler Mk1
Warlord Games have recently released a 1/56 scale version of the Daimler Mk1 as part of their Bolt Action Games range. When I was younger I had a Dinky Toy Daimler Armoured Car, so even though I do not have a particular use for it, I picked one up at the Reading Show.

Walking Zed
Inspired by the forthcoming release of Vlad's Army from Crooked Dice, I returned to the Studio Miniatures' Weird War 2 Zombies.
A simple paint job, Vallejo German Field Grey jacket and trousers, Vallejo Black Grey boots and helmet, Vallejo Black for the belt and webbing. Flesh is Humbrol 90 (available in spray cans as well). Everything except the boots and the helmet then received a wash of Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade. The insides were painted Citadel Mephiston Red, again with a Drakenhof wash.
The figure was then given a dry brush with Citadel Rakarth Flesh (which is very similar to the Khemri Stone I used previously). Next time I might be a bit more restrained.
Final detail/point wash with Citadel Baal Red provided the blood stains.

The B-Team Trailer
The B-Team (not second class, but complete B*7t*rds) is a Villainous Cast for Crooked Dice's 7TV.
The B-Team is commanded by Colonel Richard "Cannibal" Keyes.
From a respected and influential family that has served in his country's military for hundreds of years, Keyes "parted company" with the military and set up a mercenary company.
Keyes was built from the Crooked Dice Minion Commander with a Westwind SHS American head, two ammo pouches scratch built from plastic rod and a grenade from the Warlord Games British weapons sprue.
With a trooper (a Crooked Dice SMG minion again with a Westwind head) backed up by an Empress Miniatures M113.
The bases need some work.
